Yes I know its not exactly fall anymore but I'm running a bit late here. I personally vouch for all these songs as download able before you even listen to them. Just trust me. The Imperious Music Snob will never let you down!
10 Years "Now Is The Time" The rock album that flew under that radar was "Feeding The Wolves." Great from start to finish (which is rare these days) but getting little love from the populous. Rock
Eels "Baby Loves Me" Eels are good for an album a year or so and this was not one of his best. This track however is an amazing ode to loving your girl despite what anyone says. Rock
Ice Cube "I Rep That West" The lethal predator is still repping Killafornia bringing along the Westside Connection, and murdering ya with a much better effort than the album from 2008 outing. Hip-Hop/Rap
Mushroomhead "I'll Be Here" The scary masked band from Iowa, well, the other masked band from Iowa produces the best track of their career and a pretty good album. Metal
IO Perry "Don't Blame The Moon" I just luckily stumbled upon this track after watching "Frankenhole" on Adult Swim. This sweet defense of the moon is beautiful and unique. Indie
Viza "Viktor" Serj Tankian joins the Chernobyl caravan for a classic System Of A Down sounding song. Good stuff from mother Russia. Rock
Paul Thorn "I Don't Like Half The Folks I Love" A new blues man (to me anyway) with some real good rockin' and a non-holiday song in time for the holidays. I'll let you figure out why. Blues
Serj Tankian "Gate 21" "Imperfect Harmonies" isn't as good as Serj's 1st solo album but still one you should own. Its good but heavy in content and a bit lacking of the pizazz Tankian usually possesses. I wish System Of A Down would get back together. Rock
Phillip Selway "By Some Miracle" A member of Radiohead goes solo and it isn't Thom Yorke. Have not honestly heard the whole album but this track is so good. Indie
Brian Posehn "The Gambler" Now Brian is a funny guy but this is an all-star metal band cover of the Kenny Rogers classic that I guarantee will surprise you. Metal
Heywood Banks "Big Butter Jesus" I'm sorry but this is funny stuff. Old man nerd delivers again with an original classic. Comedy
Hatebreed “Bleed Now” Have I mentioned that Hatebreed is the best metal band going today? Well they are. Jasta give another bad ass track from their self-titled album. Metal
Helmet "And Your Bird Can Sing" Page Hamilton is finally back and with an amazing, perhaps best album in the Helmet catalog. "Seeing Eye Dog" finds Page taking chances and changing up the style a bit but not the debacle that "Monochrome" was. Up for album of the year. Metal
Kid Cudi "Erase Me" Possibly song of the year though Cudi's newest album was a bit disappointing. C'mon guy, why so depressed when you are a millionaire and killing it on stage? Hip/Hop Rap
Jamey Johnson "Good Morning Sunrise" You ever notice that you party until the sun tells you its time for bed? James nailed it here on his new double CD as the country rebel outlaw continues to gain steam. Country
Old Crow Medicine Show "Lonesome Road Blues" OCMS can't really miss but I especially like this track about tragedy at the end of an old dirt road. Country
Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltson "Sink/Let It Sway" From Springfield, Missouri the band with the really long name really scored with the 1st single from their new album. Indie
Lyrics Born "I Like It, I Love It" I challenge you to listen to this cat and not get up and start moving. LB is so creative and sly with funk thrown in just for fun. Hip Hop/Rap
The Peasall Sisters "Home To You" Featured as children in "O Brother Where Art Thou?" the girls have grown up and their voices are still beautiful. This is such a great song and I always find it picks me up a bit even if I'm not sad. So haunting and look for the ladies who are featured in the trailer for the remake of "True Grit." Country
