American Music Award Winners?

After the dry heave that was the AMA's last night, I felt more compelled than ever to deliver some amazing music that is not being shoved down the throats of America by soda companies and MTV. Radio is not the place to find good music, and the soulless sheep who bray and buy shit like Three 6 Mafia, Jonas Brothers, Carrie Underwood, 3rd Day, and Chris Brown (I mean really, who the fuck are these people?) should be be considered late term abortions and destroyed. Seriously, I cannot name 1 goddamn song these douche bag whores sing! More than ever we need to listen to music with real heart and meaning, from real talented musicians. No corporate ass licking shills here wanting to be "the next Elvis Presley" like Kanye West. No, these are hard working sometimes vaguely known artists who as Bill Hicks would say, "play from their fucking heart!"

The Knux "Bang Bang" Krispy Kream and Rah Al Millio bolt to the top of the Hip Hop game on their debut album with an interesting beat sound and crafty lyrics. Rap

The Mighty Underdogs w/MF Doom "Gunfight" A rap song that tells a story of the wild wild west with flavor, and slick rhymes that hey popular Rap scene today, actually rhymes. Rap

Ice Cube w/WC & The Game "Get Used To It" The real OG can still lay it down with the help of 2 talented friends throwin' it up Lench Mob style. Rap

Tiger Army "Pain" This is a good place to start with a little Psycho-Billy Punk led by Nick 13 and a revolving cast of players. Self made and bad ass. Punk

The Parlor Mob "Can't Keep A Good Boy Down" A throwback to Black Crowes style rock from a band that recorded their 1st record by themselves and gave it away on the Internet for free. This entrepreneurial spirit got them signed to Roadrunner Records which is where you will find this great song about getting on with your life. Rock N Rolla

Raphael Saadiq "100 Yard Dash" Bringing back the old soul days is the former member of Tony Tone Toni with this trip the light fantastic tune that you cannot help but new jack swing to. Hip Hop

The Duhks "Mighty Storm" How about some powerful jazz from the band whose name is pronounced "ducks" with the soothingly righteous Sarah Dugas vocals combined with North American traditional stylings. Folk

Dead Confederate "It Was A Rose" Perhaps the most achingly beautiful choice from the Georgia based band that has played together since high school. Rock

Dillinger Escape Plan "Milk Lizard" Good hardcore is hard to find but the DEP boys thrash to a song about loving to hate those beautiful whores. Take no prisoners. Metal

The Dreaming "Become Like You" Basically Stabbing Westward renamed but this song is about avoiding what you hate. These guys still rock in that industrial style. Metal

The Tossers "No Loot, No Booze, No Fun" Ya gotta have some Irish Drinkin' Music in every collection and these micks create fun in every drunken line. Punk

Authority Zero "No Regrets" The last release from the boys who are currently working on a new album. The title says it all. Punk

Woven Hand "White Knuckle Grip" Their music is dark, gloomy, dreamy, organic, atmospheric, amazing. Give it a listen, its something different from the norm rock on the radio. Rock

The Republic Tigers "Buildings And Mountains" This melodic masterpiece was given away for free on iTunes! Are people even paying attention or just ingesting whatever the radio gods feed you? Pop

Avenged Sevenfold "Little Piece Of Heaven" A story of romance and redemption. This was my Halloween song this year but it deserves mention again for the simple brilliance and hilarity the song brings out. Metal

That's 15 golden tracks with No plastic Mariah Carey. No respect less Kanye West ("only snitches and Kanye's speak through a wire." Immortal Technique). No crap cock Linkin Bizkit. No unbelievably gorgeous Rihanna, wait, she can stay. The rest of the AMA is a joke missing just about everything that is good in music today. Its not hard to find people, just look and listen for what honestly touches your heart or makes you think. And by the by, Elvis sucked you idiot.
