Random Movie Reviews or RMR is as you may have guessed, an Imperious Opinion on movies I have watched recently or just decided to write about. I know I like it when people spread the word on good movies or warn me about shiite. Enjoy.
Underworld: Rise Of The Lycans The prequel to the ultra-popular Underworld series surprised the hell out of me. Without Kate Beckinsale, Scott Speedman, and any "big name" actors, I thought perhaps the movie gods would have just phoned it in on this one. That is not the case as this movie is perhaps the best of all 3! Michael Sheen reprises his role as Lucian, the father of the Werewolves and reluctant leader while stealing the movie. Great performances all around including token hottie Rhona Mitra and Bill Nighy making Victor more evil than ever. I'm not going to ruin any of the movie retelling the storyline and I'm guessing if you are a fan you know the ending, but sufficed to say this movie is worth watching in the theatres to enjoy the full quality of a well done action filled horror movie. **** 4 Stars!
I just happened to be flipping around bored and caught Havoc on the IFC channel recently. I'm one of those people who just have to see the end of the movie no matter how bad, though the final Pirates Of The Caribbean has broken that rule. The movie has saucy ladies Anne Hathaway and Bijou Phillips plus spoiler alert, they both get naked. The problem is the scenes are disturbing so you cannot enjoy the lovely scenery. Awful movie with a ridiculous storyline and see through plot. Don't watch. *1 Star
The Wrestler as you should know now by all the hype and awards is a great movie with amazing performance by Mickey Rourke. Just a great movie by Daron Aronofsky and Marisa Thomei does a great acting job, and by acting I mean she gets naked. It really is a good Drama, just don't expect a WWE world. ***3 1/2 stars.
This peaked my interest in some of his prior work and I watched Bullet, and jewish gangster ( yeah I know) film about rich douche bag kids (wow like Havoc) who ruin their lives with drugs and violence. Another shitty movie you can go ahead and mark down to never see. Total crap. * 1 Star
That's RMR for now but with Frisky Dingo Season 2 and Rock N Rolla out, there may be some better reviews in the future.
