The Imperious Opinion World Music & Media Awards are back by popular demand after a 4 year absence! This is the only goddamn awards show that means anything in this atrocity of a world in which the Grammy's nominate Beyonce for 9 awards. That tells you the state of the music industry in which "popular" music without soul, written by a team of scribes, backed by a marketing campaign, is considered the best there is to offer. ImpOp gives you honest and true music which is penned by the artists and crafted by earnest players who give their actual heart and soul to the art form that inspires us all, as well as "people of the year" and the best TV shows, movies, and comedy!

Veruca Salt “Empty Bottle”
Who saw the return of these 90's ladies coming? Certainly not us but this track stood out with piercing lyrics and an ever shifting tempo working its way into brilliance. "I can't stop gushing, I'm a hemophiliac," might be the line of the year.
Comeback Of The Year:
Tiger Army
It had been 9 years since we hear from Tiger Army but Nick 13 did not disappoint. The psychobilly band put out their best effort to date and a documentary about the album is coming soon.

Movie Of The Year:
Deadpool
Horror Movie Of The Year:
Pride & Prejudice & Zombies
Comedy Movie Of The Year:
Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping
Fantasy Movie Of The Year:
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice
Let us begin by politely saying, fuck you to everyone who did not like this movie. This movie was amazing! It became the "cool thing to do" to criticize this movie but it was solid. Sure it didn't follow the comic books but it was based upon 3 of ImpOp's favorite books (The Death of Superman, The Dark Knight Returns, and Injustice: Gods Among Us) of all time and changes are a necessity when making films. Doomsday wasn't a great addition but the movie was great as was Ben Affleck's Batman, Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa's Aquaman, Jeremy Iron's Alfred and we even liked Henry Cavill's Superman for the 1st time! Pretend its an Elseworld's DC comic and its stellar.
Documentary Of The Year:
Amanda Knox
TV Show Of The Year:
Game of Thrones (season 6)
Consistently the best show on television and the best show in years.
Animated Show:
The Venture Bros. (season 6)
Comedy TV Show Of The Year:
W/Bob & David
Might as well of called it Mr. Show 2.0 but however you slice it, the entire returning crew were the best thing to happen to Netflix and comedy all year!
Comedian Of The Year:
Tom Segura
Comedy Album Of The Year:
David Cross: Making America Great Again!
Comic Book Of The Year:
DC Universe: Rebirth
All of it! DC comics roared back to prominence with their "it's not a reboot." It literally changed the entire comic book scene with the greatest characters in the biz returning to their best forms. Return of the Watchmen! Return of original Lobo & not Emobo! Wally West as Flash! Dick Grayson back to Nightwing! Hal Jordan running game as always in other greats like Red Hood, Aquaman, Cyborg, Guy Gardner, John Stewart, Arsenal, Deathstroke, Harley Quinn, and even the Superman titles were back to form!
Artist Of The Year:
Yoskay Yamamoto
