John Stewart "The comedy world lost a good man and a great comic," Jon Stewart said at the end of Wednesday's The Daily Show, sharing a Moment of Greg instead of his usual Moment of Zen. "When you were working the clubs, he was just one of those guys that you loved to run into, because he was always a font of warmth and good humor and just smart-as-hell comedy."
Jim Norton Giraldo's comedian pals weighed in with Jim Norton writing "RIP, buddy" on Twitter.
Jim Gaffigan wrote "Dear Addiction, Fuck you. Goodbye Greg. I love you."
Aziz Ansari called Giraldo "one of the most respected comic I can think of" and said "The world has lost a hysterical man."
Joan Rivers noted she was very fond of him and that she was very angry, saying "What a waste of comedic talent."
